Paddy Leung is a magical human. She papier-maches, paints, folds, glues, weaves and works wonders with paper, plus she’s wicked good at cutting hair. For the past few months, Leung has putting her scissor skills to use for 2015’s Coupe de Coeur campaign, and, at the time of this writing, is only $80 from her goal.
The proceeds from Coupe de Coeur will fund two upcoming Kite Building Workshops with Paperhouse Studio on June 13th and July 10th, and a mask-making party on May 20th. Last year’s campaign provided the means for a tie-dye party at White House Studio Project, which received amazing feedback because how many of you have had the chance to make and own tie-dye panties.
In her own words, “Coupe de Coeur is an art fundraiser campaign that provides stylish, clean, gangster, bad bitch, handsome, pretty, pixie, $5 haircuts. I started this fundraiser with hopes that artists, non-artists, designers, and dreamers could find it in their hearts to support the arts in a mutually beneficial way, because I believe that sharing and making art brings true happiness and meaning to people’s lives.”
